Have you ever found yourself walking through a new door ( season in life) and you are excited, nervous, happy and still somewhat unsure? Over the last few weeks, I have found myself at this exact place.
I see the door slowly open......
Tip toe towards it.......
Peek inside.....
My heart is overjoyed at what I see, my inside are shaking with excitement, and then I feel my nervous reaction to what's on the other side.
Can this really be for me Lord?
It is a road I have never traveled before, it is a place I have never visited, not even in my heart of hearts.
This Cajun girl, who has second guessed her herself, afraid to trust her own judgement, who's messy past tends to remind me of where I once stood in this life, now has a door open that only God himself could open for me.
Hard to wrap my head around it all??
Absolutely!!!
I do not question God, however I have been known to question myself. It is those times when the "God" door is opening, the world will open other doors to confuse you. The enemy wants to come in and steal your blessings and to do so he will open all kinds of doors in the hopes you will miss the one God has.
I have missed Godly doors on several occasions in life.....
( Once again, that would be in reference to my "messy" past)
I can say that I have continued to seek God and HIS doors, no matter my situations and circumstances. Yes I have opened several incorrect doors, walked through them, and fell flat on my face.
Not a great feeling.....
But it's in the getting back up that we see the joy, the healing, restoration and Gods glory in our lives!!
Thank you sweet Jesus~
1 John 4:4
4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
I believe God is in the process of revealing so much more to all of us, His children. There we will find behind our doors, talents we didn't know we had, healing we though would never be complete, restoration of relationships we saw as lost causes, and a manifestation of joy that we, in the natural, could never imagine.
The doors our daddy God opens.....No man can shut!!
And for that I am ever so grateful~
Much love~
Stacey
Revelation 3:8
8 I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
Hi Stacey, in many ways I felt as if I could have written some of the phrases in your posts. We each have the confidence, courage, and obedience to walk through every door the Father opens and the wisdom to know the ones he has closed.
ReplyDeleteHi Stacey - great post. The thing is we have to take a step of faith sometimes and sometimes we get it right and sometimes we get it wrong. The thing is to never give up seeking His path for our lives. Great encouragement here to do just that.
ReplyDeleteGod bless

Hi Tracy~ I agree with you! Steps of faith are sometimes correct and sometimes we miss our mark. However it's what we do when we get back up :)
ReplyDeleteKeep pressing in and pressing forward :)
Blessings to you~
