I have been meditating on this verse for several days now.
Proverbs 27:19
19 As in water face reflects face,
So a man’s heart reveals the man.
So a man’s heart reveals the man.
I have asked myself as I look in the mirror, " What does my reflection say about me?" On the outside I can put a smile on my face, appear to be happy and for all intense purposes be joyful. My face is reflecting what I would like others to see.
But what about my heart? What lies within it will and does eventually come out. Words that I may have kept hidden for a season now come pouring out. Is my reflection God's words, or mine?
Have I applied His words to my situations, circumstances and feelings or do I just ramble words of hurt, anger and frustration??
Does my reflection reflect Christ or the world?
As I continue to meditate on this verse, I pray that my heart reflects the love of Christ and is followed by His words. That I have hidden Gods words so deep in my heart, that they are my reflections~
What does your reflection say??
For me I want a heart as King David......
A man after God's own heart!!!
And my reflection in the mirror, to see Christ smiling back at me~
Much love~

I love this idea, what does your reflection say. Now that I blog, I have caught myself thinking about what my character is while I am out and about, in the grocery store, etc., because I never know who ready my blog and who is watching me to see if what I live in the little moments are the same as what I write about. It's made me be accountable for that reflection. I love this image!

Me too, I want my heart and the things I say and do to be a reflection of God..this isn't always the case. What's in our hearts always comes out eventually and it just continues to show me my desperate need for a Savior!
