Going Home

The old saying, "Home is were your heart is", stands true for me and my babygirl.

I was born and raised in Louisiana but was blessed to live in Texas for 12 years.
We moved there in 1999 and stayed until 2011....
Moving back to Louisiana came at a very emotional time in my life......
This new season was filled with many questions and uncertainty on my part.

Stepping out in obedience had never been one of my best qualities.......
(Yes I have been known to be a tad bit stubborn)
But step out I did  and here we were three years later ......
Going Home.......
For a visit.
I believe my daddy God had a perfect timing for this visit.
He knew if I had went before, I'd once again walk ahead if him and find a way to go back....
Permanently.
And once again I'd be walking out of God's perfect will for my life and my daughters.

As soon as we crossed the state line, my baby girl and I looked at each other and said at the same time...." Home"
~sigh~

We enjoyed three days with our Texas family and friends.....
The love, the joy and the fellowship was as always........ amazing!!!
Our hearts were glad.
Our souls refreshed.

But.......
We had to come back.....
As we drove Hwy 105 heading east, we both cried.
Neither of us wanting to leave our home, our family and friends there.
We just wanted to stay!!!
But.........
Our season is here.

Proverbs 16:9

A man’s heart plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps.

He is directing our steps.

Our true "home" resides in the heart of Christ.
It is where HE places us.....
Where love has no boundaries.....
 And is unconditional.
Where change is part of our growth.....
And hinds feet are produced.
Where grace and mercy reside.....
And love and compassion exsist.

When we are moved into a new season, our daddy God is repositioning us for what He has for us.
For the blessings and favor He wants to give.

God's word tells us....

1 Corinthians 2:9

But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

I may not have understood nor seen the whole picture of this new season.......
But I have learned to trust in Him completely.

I do see how God has been moving in my life.
I see those He has placed in my life........
And those He is bringing.

I see where my once shattered heart has been put back together......
I see where my love for my daddy God has increased beyond measure.
I see my growth in Him.....
And my level of understanding increased.
Where all I want is Him and what He has for me......
Nothing less!!!

As we continue to walk the path our daddy God has placed before us........
I want to encourage you, if you are in a season of change, embrace it, learn from it, receive it.

1Peter 3:11 tells us to seek peace and pursue it. If we follow peace, we will follow what the Lord  has for us!!
( Thank you Diana, you rock sista!!)

There is nothing this world has to offer that can compare to what our daddy God has for us.....
His love....
His peace....
His joy.....
His grace and mercy....
His favor and blessings!!!!

Our visit "home" was bittersweet......
( we will be back)
Simply because of the love that surrounds us there.
( It is AUH-mazing)

But I am pretty sure we will be west bound again soon......
Visiting is always a blessing and a joy!!!

1 Peter 3:11
