Balance and Boundaries~

I love my girl times!

Ours, over the last year and a half, consists of Saturday morning coffee at Diana's house.

Otherwise know as our "jammie and chat time".....

We haven't been able to do that much lately, however we did this past weekend. Nothing like sharing your heart and soul with your soul sista :)

We both have been through the fires and floods in life. We never pretend to have had it easy. And the learning process for us both has continued through this journey our daddy God has placed us on.

It was through our recent girl time together, we both noticed the quiets times, the isolated times and the molding and shaping periods we have endured.

Growing pains and lessons are never ending.....

The joy I received from our conversation came within the realization that through all his divine pruning and shaping of me, his daughter, I now understand balance and boundaries in a way I could never fully understand.

For those who know me can tell you as the  little social butterfly that I am, alone and isolation are two words not apart of my vocabulary.

For me to truly understand balance and boundaries, I had to be moved to a place of solitude and change.
And I had to be willingly to go.....

I had to let go of what I wanted and open my eyes to what He has for my life. To learn  where the black and white areas are in life and when the gray areas come in.

To balance a life of self respect, integrity, and honesty while showing Christ love, forgiveness, mercy and grace.

To see where the lines of self respect is drawn in balance and recognize the boundaries of grace in the gray.
I had to learn how NOT to forsake myself nor my relationship with God.

Romans 12:2
"Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve of what God's will is--his good pleasing and perfect will. "

There are seasons in our lives that our Daddy God will bring us to a place of isolation. When  the only voice we can hear is His and His alone.

It is through the quiet seasons we learn to hear and recognize His voice, the voice of the Father, and learn our "balance" and "boundaries"

It is when we come out of isolation that we can see God as a more tangable presence in our lives.

Our thought process is changed to be more like Him, our actions become more Christ like and our love for others is transformed from condtional to  uncondtional.

In essence we are moved from "glory" to "glory"

So as we all continue to walk the balance beams of life, it is my hope that we all heed to our isolation periods and listen for our daddy God's voice......

The voice of uncondtional love~

Much love,
Stacey

  1. Walking on a balance beam seems to be the best way I've ever heard it described. Thanks for this.

  2. Hi Stacey - this is such a great post. Something I battle with is balance. I feel like the ultimate pendulum, swinging back and forth. I can see progress on some fronts but on others, lots of work needed still and I so agree, the alone time with God is where its going to start forming and growing into the growth He wants in me.
God bless friend, wish I was close enough for Saturday morning tea and jammies :)
